29 CFR 1910.219(c)(4)(i): Unguarded projecting shaft end(s) did not present a smooth edge and end and projected more than one half the diameter of the shaft: a) Workplace located at 610 Industrial Park Drive Yeadon, PA 19050: On or about April 5, 2024, the employer did not ensure unguarded projecting shaft end presented a smooth edge and end and projected less than one half the diameter of the shaft. Employees operating the PacProInc (Model PPI-200-IS-RX-P4-13) interleaver machine worked in close proximity to the exposed shaft at knee height while wearing loose food-safety smocks, thereby exposing employees to entanglement hazards.
