29 CFR 1910.95(d)(1): When information indicates that any employee's exposure may equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels, the employer shall develop and implement a monitoring program. On or about March 20, 2024, the employer failed to implement a noise monitoring program for employees exposed to occupational noise hazards while working on presses such as 491, 386, and 192 and the cold forming, the green machine, and the big line during their 8-hour shifts. Employees were exposed to occupational noise between 86.9 - 91.8 dBA for an 8-hour time-weighted average.
