29 CFR 1926.856(a):Mechanical equipment shall not be used on floors or working surfaces unless such floors or surfaces are of sufficient strength to support the imposed load. a) On or about March 13, 2024, the employer did not ensure that the working floors were able to support the load of the equipment, the Caterpillar 336D Hydraulic Excavator. As a result, the excavator fell through the floor and into the basement, causing a partial roll over of the excavator onto the cab side.
