29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment, including personal protective equipment for eyes, face, head, and extremities, protective clothing, respiratory devices, and protective shields and barriers, were not provided and used, wherever it was necessary by reason of hazards of processes or environment or chemical hazards, encountered in a manner capable of causing injury or impairment in the function of any part of the body through absorption, inhalation or physical contact: a) Beverage Distribution Center, Inc. - Recycle dock area/Sanitation area: The employer did not provide and ensure the use of rubber aprons for sanitation employees exposed to splash hazards when adding corrosive chemicals, including, but not limited to, Tennant True Cleaning Solutions/High Alkaline Degreaser Concentrate, to the Tennant floor scrubbing machine, on or about 03/01/2024.
