29 CFR 1910.106(e)(6)(i): Industrial plants - Sources of ignition - "General." Adequate precautions shall be taken to prevent the ignition of flammable vapors. Sources of ignition include but are not limited to open flames; lightning; smoking; cutting and welding; hot surfaces; frictional heat; static, electrical, and mechanical sparks; spontaneous ignition, including heat-producing chemical reactions; and radiant heat. (a) On or about February 25, 2025, the employer did not ensure that the protections from static ignition source that the employer used did not look at the task of employees dumping full or partial drums of combustible particulate solids into mixing vessels (such as but not limited to TM-104 and TM-105 on the dry charge deck), containing flammable liquids.
