OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish the employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm in that employees were exposed to potential fire, deflagration and explosion hazards associated with combustible wood dust. a) Production floor: Employees were exposed to fire, deflagration and explosion hazards due to the 5" Flexaust hoses connected to a Lincoln/5HP/184TC dust collection system that had non-conductive wiring and were collecting combustible dust from a large table saw and sanding table machines, Condition observed on or about 3/7/23. b) Production floor: Employees were exposed to fire, deflagration and explosion hazards due to the 5" Flexaust hoses connected to a Coral/2 HP/CMS-1CS dust collection system that had non-conductive wiring and were collecting combustible dust from a large table saw and sanding table machines,. Condition observed on or about 3/7/23. c) Production floor: Employees were exposed to fire, deflagration and explosion hazards due to the 5" Flexaust hoses connected to a Beach MFG Co. dust collection system that had non-conductive wiring and were collecting combustible dust from a large table saw and sanding table machines,. Condition observed on or about 3/7/23. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
