OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment that were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: Maintenance Garage - The employer failed to provide a place of employment free from recognized hazards by requiring the use of vehicle lifts without the following in place: � � � � � a.) Technician training and certification; at least one employee was using a vehicle lift without proper training, and all lift operators were not lift certified. � � � � � b.) Lift operators were not conducting daily inspections of the lifts.
