1926.25(a) During the course of construction, alteration, or repairs, form and scrap lumber with protruding nails, and all other debris, shall be kept cleared from work areas, passageways, and stairs, in and around buildings or other structures. Location: School Street, Shelton, CT 06484 On February 9, 2024, an employee was exposed to hazards associated with tree trimming, tree removal operations and work zone traffic control when the employer failed to maintain a work area clear from hazardous debris. The moving 2018 Freightliner M2 lift truck traveled through the work site where an employee was cutting and removing branches/debris on inclined ground. The truck?s side mirror hit a piece of branch debris on the passenger's side causing the employee to fall backwards as the truck was moving.
