29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2): The employer did not assure that each employee exposed to fall hazards was trained by a competent person qualified in the areas specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii). a- 3191 Route 206, Columbus NJ: Company workers were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 13 feet 3 inches to ground surface below, when walking and working at and near unprotected edges and sides while not using fall protection. These unprotected edges and sides were located on the top of a commerical structure's addition. These workers and their worksite Foreman were not trained on fall protection means and methods as specified in 29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2)(i) through (viii). Condition noted on or about 01/18/24. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
