29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his/her environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury: a) Worksite, 1 Piper Lane, Head of Harbor, NY- Employees were not trained to recognize hazards associated with an employee entering an unprotected excavation approximately 18ft in depth. The excavation had no shoring, shielding or adequate sloping; on or about 1/8/24. Note: In addition to abatement certification the employer is required to submit abatement documentation for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
