Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees are exposed to injuries from inadequately labeled and maintained racking systems: (a) Industrial Steel Storage Racks throughout the facility; On or about January 8, 2024, the employer did not ensure regular inspections for damage of the racking system. (b) Industrial Steel Storage Racks throughout the facility; On or about January 8, 2024, the employer did not display in one or more conspicuous locations a plaque to permanently and prominently display the permissible loading of the rack. (c) Industrial Steel Storage Racks on aisles AY, AO, and RW; On or about January 8, 2024, the employer did not ensure that the rack columns were anchored to the floor with anchor bolts adequate to resist all applicable forces. (d) Industrial Steel Storage Racks on aisles AY, AO, and RW; On or about January 8, 2024, the employer did not ensure that the affected areas of damaged racking was immediately isolated. (e) Industrial Steel Storage Racks on aisles AY, AO, and RW; On or about January 8, 2024, the employer did not have a storage rack design professional evaluate the damage, and unload, replace or repair if directed by the professional, any damaged columns, beams, or other structural components to restore the system to at least its original design capacity.
