29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(ii): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with a stair rail system along each unprotected side or edge: a. On or about January 4th, 2024, at 475 SW 27th Ave., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312, employees performing mechanical work accessed the second floor of the building through an unprotected concrete staircase, and the employer did not ensure that a stair rail system was installed to prevent fall hazards from an 11.5 ft. elevation onto the concrete floor.
