29 CFR 1910.23(c)(8): Portable ladders. The employer must ensure the cap (if equipped) and top step of a stepladder are not used as steps. On or about February 2, 2024, at an establishment located at N3620 County Road D in New London, WI; a maintenance employee was exposed to fall hazards while accessing and egressing the CFS ham injector machine from the top step of a Werner A-frame step ladder.
