29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): The point of operation of machines, whose operation exposes an employee to injury, were not guarded: On or about December 6, 2023, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to amputation hazards while operating the reel and the pintle arm without the use of guards. Encore Wire Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1416723, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on November 6, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 1329 Millwood Road, McKinney, Texas 75069. Encore Wire Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1405339, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on September 13, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 1329 Millwood Rd., McKinney, Texas 75069.
