29 CFR 1926.701(b): Protruding reinforcing steel, onto and into which employees could fall was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement. The employer is failing to protect employees from impalement hazards. This was most recently documented on November 21, 2023, the residential worksite located at 8039 SE 5th Street, Blue Springs, Missouri. Employees were exposed to impalement hazards when framing a new residential structure when exposed rebar was not protected.
