29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3):Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed: a. Receiving/Back Area - On or about November 14, 2023, the employer did not ensure that the exit route was free and unobstructed. Cardboard boxes of product, empty boxes, and other objects were in the exit pathway which reduced the amount of available space to exit safely in the event of an emergency. Marshalls of MA, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1662622, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on October 31, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 8-12 Franklin Street, Bloomfield, NJ 07003.
