29 CFR 1910.95(b)(1):When employees were subjected to sound exceeding those listed in Table G-16, feasible administrative or engineering controls were not utilized: New Horizons Baking Company located at 211 Woodlawn Avenue in Norwalk, Ohio: On or about November 6, 2023, feasible administrative or engineering controls were not utilized to reduce sound levels within the levels of Table G-16 of 29 CFR 1910.95 for instances such as, but not limited to: a) On November 6, 2023, an employee working on the bun side was exposed to noise at 584.1%, measured on 90 dBA threshold, of the permissible daily dose, or an average sound level of 103.0 dBA, as measured over 465 minutes of sampling. This dose is equivalent to an 8-hour TWA exposure of 102.7 dBA accounting for the period of 15 minutes unmonitored. b) On November 6, 2023, an employee working on muffin line 1 was exposed to noise at 221.3%, measured on 90 dBA threshold, of the permissible daily dose, or an average sound level of 95.7 dBA, as measured over 480 minutes of sampling. This dose is equivalent to an 8-hour TWA exposure of 95.7 dBA. c) On November 6, 2023, an employee working at the bun packer location was exposed to noise at 321.8.3%, measured on 90 dBA threshold, of the permissible daily dose, or an average sound level of 99.1 dBA, as measured over 440 minutes of sampling. This dose is equivalent to an 8-hour TWA exposure of 98.4 dBA accounting f or the period of 40 minutes unmonitored.
