29 CFR 1910.28(b)(11)(i): The employer did not ensure that each employee exposed to an unprotected side or edge of a stairway landing that is 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level is protected by a guardrail or stair rail system. a) Worksite: 3588 Sunrise Highway, Wantagh, NY 11793 - Employees were exposed to falls from an unprotected edge of stairway landing approximately 7 feet from the floor below, on or about 10/19/23. Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.
