29 CFR 1910.253(b)(4)(i): Oxygen cylinders were stored near highly combustible material, especially oil and grease; or near reserve stocks of carbide and acetylene or other fuel-gas cylinders, or near other substance likely to cause or accelerate fire: On or about 9/7/2023, at the work location of 1600 Firestone Parkway, Akron Ohio 44301 the employer failed to ensure that oxygen tanks were stored away from acetylene tanks. In the Common area (break room), walkway (pedestrian walk through), and path of travel for PIVs (along the wall in the passage way between warehouse and welding/fabrication departments) the oxygen and acetylene tanks were stored together standing along a concrete block wall, and were only used about once a week.
