29 CFR 1926.651(i)(3):Sidewalks, pavements, or appurtenant structures had been undermined and a support system or another method was not provided to protect employees from the possible collapse of such structures: a) 5200 S Quebec St, Right of Way, Greenwood Village, CO 80111: On or about June 21, 2023, and at times prior, QP Services, LLC employees were exposed to struck by hazards and fall hazards while attempting to repair a water leak in an unprotected trench. The soil under the sidewalk on the south side had been removed and workers were working in the trench below the overhanging sidewalk and were walking on top of the unsupported sidewalk. The employer failed to provide a support system or another means to protect the employees from the possible collapse of the sidewalk.
