29 CFR 1910.180(h)(3)(xiv): The employer did not assure that before a crane was traveled with a load, a designated person was responsible for determining and controlling safety including decisions such as position of the load, boom location, ground support, travel route, and speed of movement. a. Parking Deck: On or about September 2, 2023, the employer exposed an employee to struck-by hazards, in that a qualified person was not designated by the employer to ensure adequate ground support and safe travel route were established before an employee traveled the "Liebherr" model LTM 1055-3.2 mobile crane (serial number 068235, vehicle identification number WLFA31CZ0PEZZO117).
