29 CFR 1910.179(j)(3):29 CFR 1910.179(j)(3) Periodic, complete, inspections of the crane were not performed at intervals as generally defined in paragraph (j)(1)(ii)(b) of this section, depending upon its activity, severity of service, and environment, or as specifically indicated in section 1910.179(j)(4). These inspections shall include the requirements of paragraph (j)(2) of this section and in addition, the items identified in sections 1910.179(j)(3)(i)-1910.179(j)(3)(x) . Any deficiencies such as listed shall be carefully examined and determination made as to whether they constitute a safety hazard. (a) On or about August 22, 2023, employees are exposured to crushing and struck-by hazards where overhead gantry cranes were used and 16 months had passed since the last periodic inspection at or near Trane building 7, 2600 Losey Blvd S, La Crosse, WI 54601.
