29 CFR 1910.22(b): The employer did not ensure that each walking-working surface can support the maximum intended load for that surface. a) Roof of the Chemistry Lab; On or about August 22, 2023, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that employees are required to go on the roof of the chemistry lab to turn the water to production on and off as well as to retrieve containers to fulfill production orders while the roof of the lab contains soft spots from water damage causing the surface the inability to withstand additional weight. There are areas on the roof and the ceiling of the chemistry lab where items have fallen through.
