OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards while working from a platform supported by a powered industrial truck. a) In warehouse: Employees were exposed to fall hazards when being lifted by the forks of a Hyster forklift when retrieving warehouse products. The employee was exposed to falls of about 15 feet to the concrete surface below. Conditioned noted on 08/17/2023. NOTE: BECAUSE ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION IS ALREADY DOCUMENTED IN THE INSPECTION CASEFILE, THE EMPLOYER NEED NOT SUBMIT. CERTIFICATION.OR DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT FOR THIS VIOLATION AS NORMALLY REQUIRED BY CFR 1903.19.
