Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i):Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: On or about July 25, 2023 the employer did not ensure that machine specific procedures for the control of hazardous energies for the Screw Loader (Microwave Line 7) were utilized prior to employees performing service and maintenance on the equipment. Employees clean and sanitize equipment with guarding removed without utilizing the procedures. Hazardous energies present on the equipment include mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic. Fresh Mark Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1307018, citation number 1, item number 2 (a) and was affirmed as a final order on 5/28/2019, with respect to a workplace located at 1600 Harmont Ave. NE, Canton, OH 44705.
