29 CFR 1910.28(c)(3): The employer did not barricade the area into which objects could fall, prohibiting employees from entering the area, and keeping workers far enough away from the barricade to prevent tree limbs from falling on them. a) 26 Rivers Edge Drive, Colts Neck, NJ: The employer did not ensure that barricades were set up to ensure that the worker did not enter the drop zone. A worker entered the drop zone when a limb was being cut and dropped towards the ground striking the worker. Observed on or about 7/31/2023. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
