29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit routes were not kept free and unobstructed. Equipment was placed within the exit route. Stairs or a ramp were not provided where the exit route was not substantially level: a) 8141 Seashore Highway, Bridgeville, DE (Roof Above the Engine Room, SE Side): On or about July 17, 2023, the exit and egress routes were not kept free and unobstructed so that maintenance employees working on the roof above the engine rooms were able to exit directly from the roof to a safe location outside and away from the facility in the event of an emergency such as a fire or a toxic release of ammonia. Currently, employees must travel over and under pipe chases to access an exit route.
