29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) On or about 7/14/2023, at 9240 Marketplace Rd, Fort Myers, FL, employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 12.5 feet while tearing off the existing asphalt shingles on a 5:12 pitched roof, in that, there was no means of fall protection used.
