29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles: a. On the roof at a residence, at a temporary worksite located at 4119 Bess Road, in Jacksonville, FL: On or about July 13, 2023, the employer exposed employees to eye injuries, in that eye protection was not utilized by employees while operating pneumatic nail guns. Southern Coast Roofing & Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1369712, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on February 27, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 3862 Sandy Shores Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32227.
