29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(iv)(d): One or more methods of machine guarding were not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the power presses area of operation (front and back) from hazards such as those created at the point of operation, and ingoing nip points : (a) Manufacturing Department: On or about June 27, 2023, the employer exposed employees to caught -in hazards, in that the employer allowed the employees to operate and perform work on an unguarded power press machine including a die pair (striker plate and forming die) with the striker plate attached to the ram.
