29 CFR 1910.132(f)(1) The employer shall provide training to each employee who is required by this section to use PPE. Each such employee shall be trained to know at least the following: 29 CFR 1910.132(f)(1)(iv): The limitations of the PPE; a.) On or about June 9, 2023, the employer did not adequately train employees on the hazards of wearing wet PPE in the -10 F freezer. Employees were not aware wet or damp PPE even from sweat can facilitate heat loss and increase the risk of cold stress related injuries.
