29 CFR 1926.651(c)(2): The employer does not locate a stairway, ladder, ramp or other safe means of egress in trench excavations that are feet (1.22m) or more in depth so as to require no more than 25 feet (7.62m) of lateral travel for employees: (a)SiteWorks Inc. at the intersection of 1st Avenue and Academy Street, Lennox, SD 570The employer routinely fails to ensure that employees have access to a stairway, ladder, ramp, or other safe means of egress within 25 feet of lateral travel as demonstrated on or about and at times prior to June 9, 2023. This condition exposes employees to cave-in and struck-by hazards when unable to safely egress from the excavation.
