29 CFR 1910.140(c)(18):29 CFR 1910.140(c)(18): The employer did not ensure that personal fall protection systems are inspected before initial use during each workshift for mildew, wear, damage, and other deterioration, and defective components are removed from service: a) Worksite was located at Home Depot; 310 State Hwy 36, Ste. 100, West Long Branch, NJ 07764 Ballymore operators were exposed to fall hazards due to body belts on two of the units having been found with missing grommets, excessive wear and fraying to the polyester webbing though the machine(s) remained in service. Violations were observed on or about June 8, 2023 and June 21, 2023.
