29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): The employer does not protect employees from fall hazards while performing roofing work on residential homes or structures with unprotected sides and edges at the height of 12 feet above the ground by use of guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest systems. This most recently occurred on or about May 30, 2023, during the removal shingles at a residential home located at 21940 Norton Road, Broadview Heights, OH 44146: Employees are exposed to a fall of 12 feet above the ground were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure.
