29 CFR 1926.501(b)(2)(ii): Each employee on a walking/working surface six feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level where leading edges were under construction, but who was not engaged in the leading edge work, was not protected from falling by a guardrail. On or about May 24, 2023, employees were performing awning/canopy work at heights greater than six (6) feet above the lower level without adequate fall protection. The Chapman Canopy, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(2)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1560838, citation number #1, item number #1 and was affirmed as a final order on 01-26-2022, with respect to a workplace located at 38184 Hwy 42, PRAIRIEVILLE, LA 70769.
