1926.652(a)(2) Protective systems did not have the capacity to resist without failure all loads that were intended or could reasonably be expected to be applied or transmitted to the system: (a) Roadway in Front of 100 Olmstead Drive, Middletown, Pennsylvania - The employer opened an excavation to install new storm sewer piping and structures. The excavation north side wall undermined the paved road surface, with no support system or other method utilized to protect employees from the possible collapse of the paved road surface, on or about May 22, 2023 Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
