29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i):(1) Unprotected sides and edges. (i) Except as provided elsewhere in this section, the employer must ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that is 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level is protected from falling by one or more of the following: Guard rails, Safety Nets, or Personal Fall Protection. a. At 9297 97 Ln, Live Oak, Florida, in the Feed Loading Building: On or about May 10, 2023, the employer exposed three employees seven-feet to twenty-three-feet fall hazards from the Tender Blender Mixer cover, in that the employees were not protected by a fall protection system when working on the mixing blender.
