29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Each authorized employee shall receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control. a) On or about April 26, 2023, at an establishment located at 2520 Wilson Street in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, on Line 3; an employee cleaning out breading and batter materials between the lower screw auger and the frame of the machine on Breader #2 did not receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control. b) On or about April 26, 2023, to May 5, 2023, at an establishment located at 2520 & 2511 Wilson Street in Two Rivers, Wisconsin; the employer did not provide each authorized production, packaging, and sanitation employee training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control. Employees were performing servicing and maintenance tasks on equipment such as, but not limited to, breaders, wire-belt conveyors, batter mixers, spiral conveyors, Matrix Morpheus baggers, Yamato Omega Series Dataweigh multi-head combination weighers, and Robex packer robots.
