29 CFR J910.253(b)(J)(iii):Compressed gas cylinders were not equipped with connections complying with the American National Standard Compressed Gas Cylinder Valve Outlet and Inlet Connections, ANSI B57.l-1965: a) Maintenance Garage - The employer stored two 100 pound oxygen cylinders next to one 50 pound and one 30 pound acetylene cylinders and approximately twelve feet from highly combustible oils such as a 300 gallon hydraulic fluid storage tank and a 500 gallon motor oil storage tank, both Category 1 Flammable, thus exposing employees to fire/explosion hazards. This condition was observed on or about April 19, 2023. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
