29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employees engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) Jobsite located at 3314 Fairmount Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19104 - On or about April 4, 2023 the employer did not ensure each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels were protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. Employees were conducting framing activities from the roof of a building without fall protection harnesses or guardrails, thus exposing employees to fall hazards approximately 60 feet from the ground. b) Jobsite located at 3314 Fairmount Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19104 - On or about April 4, 2023 the employer did not ensure each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels were protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. Employees were moving materials to the 5th floor of a building via the stairwell that had the guardrail removed from the upper landing approximately 10 feet from the lower level, thus exposing employees to fall hazards.
