29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1):Employees did not use eye or face protection equipment when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents: The employer does not require the use of any form of eye/face protection during roofing work. This violation was most recently observed on or about March 9, 2023 at Forest Lakes Development, Lot#90, Uniontown Ohio 44685, where three employees were not protected from struck by/flying debris hazards while installing roofing material with air driven/power driven nail guns. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that its employees performing roofing work are protected from struck by/flying debris, and that no employee is allowed to install/utilize roofing material while utilizing air driven/power driven nail guns without adequate eye/face protection.
