29 CFR 1926.651(c)(2): A stairway, ladder, ramp or other safe means of egress was not utilized for work in trench excavations that are 4 feet (1.22 m) or more in depth: (a) Residential home located at 126 Riverlake Drive, Woodstock, GA 30188: On or about March 4, 2023, an employee performing trenching work in a section of a trench measured at approximately 26-ft. long, 7-ft. deep, and 1.6-ft. wide, was exposed to a cave-in hazard, in that the employer did not ensure a stairway, ladder, ramp or other safe means of egress was available. (b) Residential home located at 126 Riverlake Drive, Woodstock, GA 30188: On or about March 7th, 2023, an employee performing trenching work in a section of a trench measured at approximately 26-ft. long, 7-ft. deep, and 1.6-ft. wide, was exposed to a cave-in hazard, in that the employer did not ensure a stairway, ladder, ramp or other safe means of egress was available.
