29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. a. On or about February 13, 2022, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee using a pneumatic nail gun did not wear safety glasses, thereby exposing the employee to the hazards associated with eye injuries. The Chris Carpentry Co. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1591574, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on September 28, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 4 Leanda Lane, in South Barrington, IL 60010. The Chris Carpentry Co. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1563270, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on February 22, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 513 Porter Street, in Lemont, IL 60439.
