OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards: a) J&J Sheet Metal LLC, 414 Commerce Road, Vestal, New York, 13850. On or about 2/8/2023, employees using the gantry crane with a 5-ton Coffin hoist that had a missing safety latch on the load hook, were exposed to a struck-by hazard when moving rolls of metal weighing approximately 8500 lbs. into place at the Iowa Precision Coil Line.
