29 CFR 1926.1203(e)(2)(v)(B): The forced air ventilation was not directed as to ventilate the immediate areas where an employee was or will be present within the space and must continue until all employees have left the space. On or about February 6, 2023, and at times prior thereto, employees were refitting an auxiliary boiler that was identified as a permit-required confined space. Neither an air mover nor half mask respirators were being used by employees, exposing employees to hazards associated with working in a permit-required confined space such as but not limited to asphyxiation and dizziness.
