Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:

Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were required to perform tasks resulting in stressors that had caused, were causing, or were likely to cause musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs): a. Amazon DNK5 Delivery Station, located at 39 Bayview Court Bayonne, New Jersey 07002: On or about October 27, 2022, and at times continuing thereafter, employees were exposed to ergonomic hazards which were causing or likely to cause MSDs. During the Induct Feeder/Induct Belt Loader process path, employees were required to reach, twist, and bend while repeatedly lifting packages from the bottom and the top of go-carts, pallets or Gaylords to the Induct belts at a high frequency, placing them at risk for lower back injuries. WRITTEN ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19
