29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1):Except as provided by paragraph (a)(3) of this section, each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems or fall restraint systems. a) On or before January, 5 2023 the employer did not protect employees from injury in that employees were exposed to fall hazards while working to install metal sheathing on the roof of a steel commercial building. Employees worked from heights of approximately 25 feet to the ground below without fall protection in place. Big D Builders, Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.760(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1603693, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on November 11, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 62 N Truckee Avenue.
