29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operators and other employees from hazards created by ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) On 12/20/22, the employer did not ensure that the Paddle Bone Puller was effectively guarded in that an employee who was operating the tool/equipment sustained a serious finger laceration when his finger got caught between the tool and the paddle bone of the carcass. This condition exposed employees to laceration hazards.
