29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): The employer did not provide portable fire extinguishers , that were mounted, located and identified so they were readily accessible to employees without subjecting the employees to possible injury. a) Dollar General Corporation/Dolgencorp, LLC - 24150 State Road 40 ASTOR, FL 32102: as demonstrated on or about December 5, 2022, near the single emergency exit door on the left side of the building, toward the rear of the store, the portable fire extinguisher was blocked with merchandise, which exposes employees to fire hazards. To abate this hazard, the employer must ensure that the location of portable fire extinguisher is readily accessible. b) Dollar General Corporation/Dolgencorp, LLC - 24150 State Road 40 ASTOR, FL 32102: as demonstrated on or about December 5, 2022, in the receiving/backroom to the right of the double door, the portable fire extinguisher was blocked with merchandise, which exposes employees to fire hazards. To abate this hazard, the employer must ensure that the location of portable fire extinguisher is readily accessible. Dollar General Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1461290, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on August 31, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 1415 Ellis Ave., Jackson, MS 39212. Dolgencorp, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1263006, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on February 16, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 19055 US Highway 31, Vinemont, Alabama 35179.
