29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition: Places of employment were not kept clean, orderly, and sanitary when receiving shipments of product and unloading metal rolling carts ("Roll-tainers") of product which created a tripping hazard as described in the following instances: a) Bath, Body, and Container Aisle - On or about November 4, 2022, roll-tainers, boxes of product, and loose product were stored on both sides of the aisle in an unorganized condition on the floor which created a tripping hazard while the employee alternated between stocking shelves and assisting customers. b) Auto Aisle - On or about November 4, 2022, roll-tainers and boxes of product containing batteries and other product were stored on the west side of the aisle in an unorganized condition on the floor which created a tripping hazard while the employee alternated between stocking shelves and assisting customers. c) Drinks and Cleaning Aisle - On or about November 4, 2022, roll-tainers containing food and pet products were stored on both sides of the aisle in an unorganized condition which created a tripping hazard while the employee alternated between stocking shelves and assisting customers.
